Description
Description
This semi-hard cheese impresses with its round blue mold aroma. Its texture is very creamy, precisely due to the addition of cream, and develops into a crumbly creamy cheese paste after a while. The blue cheese is made through hand pricking with Penicillium roqueforti cultures, patience, effort, and tinkering. However, the cheese got his name because it was first sold at the Kaltenberg Knights’ Tournament held by the Bavarian noble family. The name was born when the Prince of Bavaria himself was one of the first customers to buy this cheese.
