Description
Originating from the French region of Isère, Saint-Marcelin is a soft unpasteurised, surface ripened cheese made with cows’ milk. The small round, wrinkly cheese is dusted with a coating of white yeast. When young the texture varies from firm to very runny and it has a mild, slightly salty flavour. Yet as it ripens, it is irresistible with slightly yeasty taste. It typically has a beige crust with a soft, creamy interior which is intensely rustic, nutty & fruity.
